Is there some unwillingness to change at your company? Do you feel resistance from employees, or your internal “gut”?

Companies often find it difficult to cope with an altered environment. Leaders need to forget industry, business, and company culture norms to be able to adjust.

Have you reviewed your operating plan recently? Does it need to be revised?

Now is not the time to focus on what you cannot do; focus on what you CAN do with your business to persevere through difficult periods.

Welcome to the “now” normal. It’s not the new normal, but we probably won’t go all the way back to the “old” normal after this.

Do the words “innovative” and “creative” evoke images of chaos? Does “growth” excite but also overwhelm you?

Asking for help is not a failure – it’s a sign of strength.

This weekend I participated in a bike ride in the mountains outside of Asheville and I realized my experience was very similar to a small business pursuing a new path.
